Montevallo Elementary School launched All Pro Dad to foster father involvement and support student success. With 84% of students facing economic challenges and 34% learning English as a second language, the program created opportunities for meaningful connections through monthly breakfasts and discussions focused on character development, problem-solving, and responsibility. A dedicated team of teachers organized each event, coordinated RSVPs, selected speakers, and prepared discussion materials. To reinforce the character-building themes, over 375 attendees participated in role-playing activities such as Responsibility Scenarios and STEAM activities like Building Bonds: Marshmallow Tower Challenge. A personal translation system ensured the inclusivity of non-English-speaking families. The program significantly impacted student engagement, absenteeism, and behavior. Program attendance grew from an average of 240 in 2021 to 375 in 2023, contributing to a 7.46% decline in chronic absenteeism schoolwide. Teachers reported increased student motivation and improved classroom behavior. Parent surveys also highlighted stronger family-school connections. Building on this success, Montevallo Elementary introduced MES Watch Dawgs, where fathers now volunteer daily to greet students, fostering a welcoming environment. All Pro Dad continues to positively shape student achievement and well-being at Montevallo Elementary School by strengthening the family unit.
