Rickey Darby AAESA Fall Instructional Leadership Conference Scholarship
AAESA gives an annual Conference Scholarship to attend the AAESA Fall Instructional Leadership Conference. This scholarship is available to AAESA members who have never attended an Alabama Association of Elementary School Principals annual conference. The scholarship is awarded to pay for the expense of attending the AAESA Conference. The selection will be made at the Executive Board meeting in March. Apply Now!
W. H. Kimbrough Scholarship
The W. H. Kimbrough Scholarship is sponsored by the Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals (AASSP) to help prepare educators to step into the role of school administration. The Kimbrough Scholarship is given in honor of Dr. W. H. Kimbrough, a long-time member of CLAS, officer of SSA, and Associate Executive Director of CLAS for 13 years before he retired in 1991. AASSP recognizes the need to prepare qualified persons to fill the future needs for secondary school administration. To assist in the fulfilling of this need, AASSP offers two scholarships annually in the amount of $500 each. The purpose of the scholarships is to assist qualified individuals who wish to pursue a degree or certification in the area of secondary school administration. To qualify, an individual must be working on initial certification in the specified field. Apply Online by June 1, 2026!
Glenys Mason NAESP Convention Scholarship
AAESA gives an annual Convention Scholarship to attend the NAESP national convention. This scholarship is available to AAESA members who have never attended a National Association of Elementary School Principals annual convention. The scholarship is awarded to pay for the expense of attending an NAESP Convention. The selection will be made at the Executive Board meeting in March 2025. Apply Now for 2025-2026
Marie Taylor & Dr. Michael Carr Scholarship
The Alabama Association of Elementary School Administrators (AAESA) offers a $1000 scholarship to pursue a degree in education administration. AAESA recognizes the need to prepare qualified persons to become elementary/middle school administrators. To assist in fulfilling this need, AAESA offers a $1,000 scholarship to enable a current Alabama educator to pursue a degree or certification in elementary/middle school administration. AAMSP Professional Development Scholarship
AAMSP Scholarship provides four (4) $750 awards annually to further a career in education or administration. The Alabama Association of Middle School Principals (AAMSP) recognizes the need to prepare qualified persons to fill the future needs for education administration/instructional leadership at the middle school level. To assist in fulfilling this need, AAMSP offers four annual scholarships in the amount of $750 each. Two of the scholarships will be for current, financially active AAMSP members who are furthering their education in an education administration/instructional leadership program. Two more scholarships will be awarded to aspiring administrators who are recommended by a current, financially active AAMSP member. The purpose of the scholarships is to assist qualified individuals who wish to pursue or further their education with a degree or certification in the area of education administration/instructional leadership. ALA-CASE Scholarships (3)
Apply now for ALA-CASE scholarship for those interested in becoming special education administrators. The Alabama Council of Administrators of Special Education (Alabama CASE) recognizes the need to prepare qualified persons to fill future administrative positions. To assist in fulfilling this need, Alabama CASE will offer three scholarships annually in the amount of $3,000.00 each. Scholarships will be given to special education teachers and/or related service personnel who are interested in becoming an administrator.
