June Stringer, Secretary for Saraland High School in Saraland City Schools, Named 2024-2025 CLAS Secretary of the Year
Orange Beach, Ala., December 5, 2024 — The Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS) is proud to announce that Mrs. June Stringer, secretary at Saraland High School in Saraland City Schools, has been selected as the 2024-2025 CLAS Secretary of the Year. Mrs. Stringer was chosen from among eight district finalists across Alabama for her exemplary service, dedication, and commitment to excellence. The Secretary of the Year Award is sponsored by Simbli by eBOARDsolutions.
Mrs. Stringer plays an integral role at Saraland High School, where her responsibilities include managing student records, assisting with financial tasks, coordinating school-wide initiatives, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Known for her organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively, Mrs. Stringer consistently demonstrates professionalism and compassion, creating a supportive and welcoming environment for students, staff, and the entire school community.
In addition to her duties, Mrs. Stringer takes proactive steps to enhance her skills by participating in workshops and online courses, particularly in PowerSchool, to improve the school’s technical efficiency. Her mentorship of colleagues and willingness to take on additional responsibilities reflect her commitment to professional growth and her dedication to the success of Saraland High School.

Nominations for the CLAS Secretary of the Year award are submitted by direct supervisors within each State Board of Education district. Finalists for the award are highly regarded by their peers, supervisors, and communities. This year’s district finalists were:

About the Award
The CLAS Secretary of the Year award honors one Alabama school secretary or administrative assistant who demonstrates exceptional dedication to their school and community. The recipient embodies the values of professionalism, excellence, and continuous improvement, supporting the vision, mission, goals, and beliefs of their school system. This award is presented annually at the Secretaries Conference luncheon in December.
