Annual CTE Banquet
Elmore County Schools
Principal: Mrs. Emilie Johnson
Superintendent: Mr. Richard Dennis

The Elmore County CTE Annual Awards Banquet was established in 2015 to formally recognize Career and Technical Education (CTE) students and teachers. The goal in hosting this event is to extend an equitable level of recognition for excellence and leadership in Career Technical Education as is given with other honors ceremonies. To accomplish that objective, the event includes a seated, served dinner. Nominated students bring guests and community members, while business and industry members are invited to attend as well. The event has been held annually in May every year since its creation, with the only exception being the 2019-2020 school year when it was unable to occur in person due to Covid. That year, a slide show was created of nominees and winners from each Career Tech program for social media and the Elmore County Technical Center conducted a drive-through awards banquet to comply with Covid guidelines. The 2023-2024 CTE Awards Banquet was an extra special one, as it was the 10th Annual CTE Banquet. Former overall CTE Student of the Year recipients were asked to give an update on where they are currently.  All their videos were compiled into a slideshow, and it was played at the beginning of the banquet in place of a guest speaker.
