Dr. Bonnie Sullivan, Principal of Pike Road Intermediate School, Elected as Zone 4 Director on NAESP Board of Directors

Pike Road, Ala., March 5, 2025 – The Alabama Association of Elementary School Administrators (AAESA) proudly announces that Dr. Bonnie Sullivan, principal of Pike Road Intermediate School in the Pike Road City School System, has been elected to serve as the next Zone 4 Director on the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) Board of Directors. Her three-year term will officially begin on August 1, 2025.

Dr. Sullivan has been a dedicated leader in education and a long-standing member of the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS), AAESA, and NAESP. She currently serves on the AAESA Board of Directors as a member of the Membership Committee, the District VII President, and the NAESP Representative. Her election to this national leadership position reflects her deep commitment to advancing the profession and advocating for elementary and middle school principals across the country.

“Dr. Bonnie Sullivan is an outstanding educational leader, and her selection as NAESP’s Zone 4 Director is a testament to her dedication and passion for serving school administrators and students,” said Dr. Vic Wilson, executive director of AAESA and CLAS. “We are incredibly proud of her achievements and know that she will bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and vision to the NAESP Board of Directors.”

As the Zone 4 Director, Dr. Sullivan will represent school leaders from the Southeast, working to support and elevate the role of principals in shaping high-quality education. She will collaborate with fellow board members to advocate for policies that benefit school administrators and the students they serve.

The Alabama Association of Elementary School Administrators congratulates Dr. Sullivan on this significant accomplishment and looks forward to her continued contributions to education at both the state and national levels.
