CLAS and ALA-CASE: Novice Special Education Coordinator 2025-2026
Expiration - April 1, 2026
PLU Participants must complete ALL activities and be a member of ALA-CASE.
Conference/Training fees must be paid before PLU can be awarded.
Phase I: Content and Knowledge
Participants must attend the two conferences listed below:

Participate in two District Coordinator's Meetings between October 1, 2025 and April 1, 2026
(Sign-In Sheets must be submitted to ALA-CASE PLU Managers.) - Attend the ALA-CASE Novice Academy (September 18-19, 2025 OR February 25, 2026)
Phase II: Implementation (Required)

Participants must invest a minimum of 30 hours implementing/applying learned content. Document on the CLAS PLU Implementation Log and submit to ALA-CASE PLU Managers.
- Submit reflective summary to the ALA-CASE PLU Managers

(Note: Effective implementation should evidence how you have taken the information from your Phase I activities and shared it. This could include activities you have led/facilitated or activities where you met, discussed, or collaborated regarding the knowledge gained with colleagues and/or stakeholders as related to Standard 3: Managerial and Operational Leadership. Implementation must note evidence of your specific leadership in your organization.
