In this energizing and high-impact session, participants will explore Jim Knight and the Instructional Coaching Group’s research on coaching for engagement and positive classroom environments to help teachers build learning spaces where all students feel safe, motivated, and connected. Participants will examine the different types of student engagement—behavioral, emotional, and cognitive—and how to measure them, while identifying teaching strategies that promote a culture of psychological safety and belonging. Leave with clear, practical tools for supporting teachers in using evidence-based strategies that boost motivation and foster classroom climates that drive meaningful learning.
