Equity is a complex issue with many dimensions. It is the idea that everyone deserves to have an equal opportunity, as well as fairness and justice. How should educators ensure that equity is at the center of their work? Join Alexandria Harvey and David Lopez in this lunch and learn designed to explore the underlying belief systems that drive our systems’ policies, procedures, and practices and identify strategies to move from an orientation of “fixing students” to one focused on “fixing systems.”
