September 9, 10, 11, 2020
10:00 am - 11:00 am CST daily
Presented by: Tery Medina
Being an English Language Learner in the classroom can be a very overwhelming experience for students, regardless of age. Therefore, it is important for educators to build an atmosphere that fosters a safe and empathetic environment for their EL students. In this institute, Tery Medina will take participants on a journey to explore myths and facts of teaching English Language Learners, clarify responsibilities as well as empathy in serving these students, and use content, process, and product, to build a framework for what works. Come ready to participate, co-create, and grow your wealth of knowledge and strategies.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the September Leadership Institute will be offered virtually.
