Wilson’s primary roles involve processing membership, coordinating exhibits for CLAS and affiliate events, and bookkeeping/accounts receivables or CLAS and certain affiliate organizations. During her tenure with CLAS, she has worked with 5 different executive directors and filled many roles within the association.

Though Wilson plans to continue to work for CLAS part-time, she intends to spend more time with her family including her grandson, read, and travel. Wilson enjoys visiting small towns in Alabama with friends, tasting the local delicacies, and contributing to their local economies by shopping.

Wilson has been an essential member of the CLAS staff. The CLAS Board of Directors, affiliate associations, and staff wish her the best of luck in her retirement and look forward to working with her again in her new part-time role.

“After 30 years at CLAS, Starr Wilson has decided to retire. Starr has been an integral part of CLAS and has worked in many different areas to help CLAS members grow and prosper. CLAS would not be where it is today without her great work. Thankfully, Starr will continue to work with us on a part-time basis,” says CLAS Executive Director Dr. Vic Wilson. “Congratulations to Starr on her well-deserved retirement and we wish her good luck on all her future endeavors.”
