Jaguar Pride Mentoring

School of Distinction AwardTuscaloosa City Schools

Principal, Mrs. Lynda Ingram

Superintendent, Dr. Mike Daria

The Jaguar Pride Mentoring Program provided friendship-based mentoring opportunities that worked to empower and motivate students to succeed. Through the development of strong relationships with adult role models, students found a positive example as well as a caring and consistent adult presence that walked beside them as they tackled the trials and triumphs of middle school during the 2019-2020 school year. The mentors were committed, encouraging, and willing listeners in which students found motivation and hope to tackle the next challenge. The students were committed, encouraged, and ready to engage as the adult volunteers gave of their time, weekly, to invest in the lives of Northridge Middle School students. Together, both mentor and mentee made a difference in the Northridge Middle School family.
