In this session, facilitators will provide a “big picture” overview of ALSDE’s historical landscape of observation systems; and the “What, Why, When, and How” to implement the new ATGP. Presenters will utilize the ATGP Orientation Manual to highlight some of the ATGP components, including the Self-Assessment, the Alabama Teacher Observation Tool (ATOT), a Professional Learning Plan (PLP), and a Professional Practice Diagnostic (optional). Participants will have a chance to learn more about the implementation of the new formative teacher growth system, what it is comprised of, how it is being implemented, and the timeline. Following the presentation, there will be time for questions and answers.
