The Association of Career Technical Administrators holds an annual conference to address the professional development needs of administrators serving in the career/tech field.

The Council of Administrators of Special Education present their annual Fall Leadership Conference.  This conference is intended to meet the needs of administrators, IEP Participants, and school board attorneys.

October 11-13, 2010 - Caribe Resort, Orange Beach

The theme for the 2010 AASSP/AAMSP Fall Conference is "Creating Connections for Continuous Learning." Bill Daggett and Joe Coles will be the keynote speakers.  General and Breakout sessions topics will include: What Makes Successful Schools Work, Bullying and Harassment, Innovative Scheduling, Time Management, Legal Issues Every Administrator Needs to Know, RTI at the Secondary Level, Boys in Crisis, School Safety, and Today's Students are Wired Differently.  The information shared during these sessions will equip administrators with the tools and strategies needed to be effective leaders.  Participation in the conference can be applied to PLUs under Standard I: Planning for Continuous Improvement, Standard II: Teaching and Learning, and/or Standard VII: Management of the Learning Organization.

The theme of the AAESA and AASCD Fall Conference is, “Building a Leadership Team: Connecting Collaboration, Assessment, and Instruction.”  Dr. Tommy Bice, Tim Brown, and Nancy Weber will be this year's keynote speakers.  Session topics will include State Department Updates, Connecting Positive School Culture to Academic Achievement, Grading and Examining Student Work, Using Assessment Results for Decision-Making, and Collaborating to Enhance Student Achievement.  Attendance at this conference can be applied to PLUs for Standard I: Planning for Continuous Improvement, Standard II: Teaching and Learning, and/or Standard VII: Management of the Learning Organization.
